La UER/EBU ha anunciado que los varios miembros del equipo central de Eurovisión han dimitido.
Entre los que han firmado su renuncia están los productores ejecutivos Oleksandr Kharebin y Victoria Romanova, la directora comercial Iryna Asman, el manager del evento Denys Bloshchynskyi y su equipo, además del jefe de seguridad Oleksii Karaban.
La UER ha publicado la siguiente declaración con respecto a este asunto:
"Victoria Romanova, Oleksandr Kharebin, Iryna Asman, Denys Bloshchynski and his team and Oleksii Karaban informed the EBU on 10th February that they were resigning from their roles for the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest. The group felt they were not able to continue work on the project owing to staffing matters at UA:PBC, which the EBU cannot fully comment on.
The team have been instrumental in the planning for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, and we thank them for their hard work. We have reiterated to UA:PBC the importance of a speedy and efficient implementation of plans already agreed, despite staff changes, and that we stick to the timeline and milestones that have been established and approved by the Reference Group to ensure a successful Contest in May.
Further information regarding the core team of the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest will be released in due course. The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Kyiv’s International Exhibition Centre on 9th, 11th and 13th May. Last year Ukraine won the Eurovision Song Contest with the song 1944 performed by Jamala"

El grupo consideró que no eran capaces de seguir trabajando en el proyecto, debido a cuestiones de personal en UA:PBC, lo cual la UER no puede comentar plenamente.
El equipo ha sido fundamental en la planificación para el Festival de Eurovisión de este año, y les agradecemos por su arduo trabajo. Hemos reiterado a la UA:PBC la importancia de una implementación rápida y eficiente de los planes ya acordados, a pesar de los cambios de personal, y que nos ceñimos a la línea de tiempo y los hitos que han sido establecidos y aprobados por el Grupo de Referencia para asegurar un concurso exitoso en Mayo.

El Festival de Eurovisión 2017 se llevará a cabo en el Centro Internacional de Exposiciones de Kiev el 9, 11 y 13 de Mayo.
